AOSIS OpenJournals becomes a member of the following organisations:

AOSIS OpenJournals publishes its first Afrikaans supplement under the journal title ’HTS Teologiese Studies/Theological Studies’ that celebrates 100 years of the existence of the Reformed Church in South Africa.
AOSIS OpenJournals introduces HTML and XML formats for all published articles.
AOSIS OpenJournals takes over the publication and converts to open access:

AOSIS OpenJournals joins Crossref, the scholarly DOI linking organisation, and assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all newly published articles.
AOSIS OpenJournals takes over the publication and converts to open access:
AOSIS OpenJournals launches its first new Open Access journal, African Journal of Primary Health Care & Family Medicine in association with VLIR (Flemish Interuniversity Council/Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad).

2008

AOSIS OpenJournals takes over the publication and converts to open access:
- SA Journal of Human Resource Management
- SA Journal of industrial Psychology
AOSIS OpenJournals scans all the archives of Koedoe. The files are uploaded onto the journal website.

2007

AOSIS OpenJournals provides training workshops on how to use the Open Journals Systems software at various universities in South Africa.
Koedoe becomes the first South African journal to be fully published and converted to open access by AOSIS OpenJournals.
AOSIS OpenJournals installs Open Journals Systems (OJS) and provides hosting services to:

AOSIS OpenJournals commissions the development of the advertisement plugin for Open Journals Systems (OJS) and donates the plugin to the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to add to the standard OJS version.

AOSIS OpenJournals is launched (then known as “OpenJournals Publishing”) and provides hosting solutions for journals on the Open Journals Systems (OJS), an open source system developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP).
AOSIS OpenJournals installs Open Journals Systems for the first South African journal, South African Family Practice.
